Reganosa´s lab got the accreditation that recognizes its competence on a technique to do tests at the industrial sector, according to the UNE-EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005. This accreditation places the company on a prominent position in Spain, it was granted by the National Accreditation Entity (ENAC).
The UNE-EN ISO / IEC 17025 sets the general requirements related to the technique competence of the testing and calibration labs, with the creteria of international accreditation entities. The scope includes: chromatography natural gas composition analysis, physical properties determination and sulfur compounds analysis on natural gas by chromatography. Reganosa´s is the only Spanish lab accredited for the sulfur analysis on natural gas, and there is only another one accredited for the other methods that complete the Reganosa´s accreditation.
Over the last three years, Reganosa´s lab has made a great effort working on the implementation of the ISO 17.025, their validation of analytical methods and the creation of a quality assurance system. The team who has developed it, has an extensive knowledge and experience on both, analytical and instrumental techniques and on the gas sector, they also have extensive training on the quality standard implanted. In this sense it´s important to highlight that the lab has successfully participated in several international interlaboratory exercises for each of the techniques to prove, organized by an entity in the UK.
Once the implementation was complete, ENAC made the evaluation of the technical competence by studying documents that describes how Reganosa´s lab operates. This was completed with the evaluation on-site of how it works. The results of all this, has made the Accreditation Commission emit Reganosa´s accreditation. ENAC now monitors the regular compliance of the requirements through periodic assessments.
The accreditation adds a value to the natural gas analysis made by Reganosa for its customers at Ferrol´s port; In addition, the laboratory is able to provide services to external customers, which from now, will be supported by the ENAC accreditation.
The accreditation is the formal recognition for a company, it means that an organization is responsible for specific tasks. This implies recognition by clients of the validity of laboratory results, facilitates the reliable information exchange and helps to harmonize procedures.
This accreditation is a distinguishing feature in the market, guarantee of integrity and competence and synonym of international recognition for service. Choosing an accredited laboratory ensures the customer that the service will be provided by a team with expertise, offering qualified staff, and has the proper equipment to do their work, with the appropriate methods and quality.
ENAC is the entity designated by the State Administration to establish and maintain the accreditation system in Spain, according to international standards, following the provisions of the European Union. Its mission is to verify the technical competence of the assessment organizations of conformity (among others, labs) to generate confidence to the government, market and society.
