Reducing methane emissions is a global challenge that involves collaboration, innovation and immediate action. At the Methane Mitigation Europe event, held in Amsterdam (The Netherlands), we had the opportunity to share our vision in the panel “The emissions journey: managing emissions across the entire gas value chain”, presented by our process and quality manager, Nara Vega Prado.
At Reganosa, we integrate safety and the environment from the design of our infrastructures, minimising leaking points and facilitating maintenance; we involve our teams and suppliers in active surveillance, with daily rounds that include the monitoring of possible emissions; we are committed to leak detection and repair (LDAR) campaigns to detect and correct leaks in real time, and we digitise plant models to improve data reconciliation and emissions management.
Innovation is key, but so is acting quickly and effectively.
